Can I schedule my Yarbo without the app?

Yes. Yardstick builds the week on a computer, sends the robot out, and keeps hard limits the schedule cannot talk its way around.

The short answer Yes. Yardstick has its own scheduler: programs that run the areas you pick on the days and times you pick, quiet hours the robot will never cross, and no-go zones that open and close on their own after rain or by time of day. It runs from a computer on your own network.

What it can do

One heading written to every area and stepped on each run, so the yard is not cut the same way every single time.

Only one scheduler can be in charge

Two schedulers both deciding when a robot goes out is a recipe for a job that starts twice or stops halfway.

So turning Yardstick's scheduler on switches your Yarbo app schedules off first, deliberately and visibly. You can turn them back on in the Yarbo app whenever you want. It needs you signed in to your Yarbo account, the same sign-in the map editor uses.

What it does not override Settings you have made in the Yarbo app that Yardstick does not read stay exactly as you set them, including Rain Detection and the battery levels the robot uses to decide when to charge. Yardstick schedules the work; the robot still runs itself.

One thing worth knowing

Yardstick schedules run while Yardstick is running. The schedule lives on your own computer, and each start is sent to the robot through your Yarbo account, so it needs that computer switched on and online. The trade is that a machine which is switched off is not scheduling anything. Put it on something that stays on, and the robot's own safety systems always take priority regardless.
