Yardstick never asks you to type an address. Your robots come from your Yarbo account, so if one is missing the answer is usually in one of three places. Here is how to tell which.
Through your Yarbo account. You sign in under Settings → Your Yarbo with the same email and password you use in the Yarbo app, and every machine on the account appears, named as you named it. There is no address to find and no serial number to type.
If you add a robot in the Yarbo app after signing in, press Check my Yarbo account and it joins the list.
Your password is stored only on the computer running Yardstick, used to sign in to Yarbo on your behalf, and never sent to us.
Three things to check, in this order.
Open Settings → Your Yarbo. If it is asking for your email and password, recording is stopped until you sign in again. Changing your Yarbo password signs Yardstick out too.
Yardstick lists what the account lists. If the machine is on a different Yarbo account, sign in with that one instead.
A docked Yarbo goes quiet. That shows as Waiting, not as a missing robot, and it is the most common thing people ask about.
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Recording | Connected, and a message has arrived in the last 60 seconds. Normal. |
| Waiting | It has heard this robot before and has now gone quiet for more than 60 seconds. Usually the robot is docked or asleep. |
| Searching | It has never heard this robot since Yardstick started. Usually it is signed out, or the robot has not been awake yet. |
| Stopped | Recording is switched off for this core. Nothing is being collected. |
Waiting is not an error. A docked Yarbo goes quiet, and that is the single most common reason to see it.
